Joseph Donahue
Founder and President
Born in 1956 in Waltham, Mass., Joseph Donahue graduated from
Boston College High School in 1974 and then earned a degree in
biology from Boston College in 1978. He received his MBA from
Babson College in 1980, then spent the next five years as an operations
manager at Honeywell Inc., and as an operations consultant at
QSC Consulting. It was during those years after graduate school
that Joe formulated his plans for starting his own business. Using
his networking skills he established a boutique temporary employment
firm from the basement of his parents' home in 1985. He focused
on providing workers for the thriving high tech industry along
Massachusetts' Route 128 belt. Committed to connecting the best
associate with the right job, his goal was to help clients grow
through flexible staffing. Today, he heads a corporation with
offices from New Hampshire to Florida. Through the years he's
broadened the company's customer base by providing workers for
sectors including medical devices, financial services and biotechnology.
The passion that Joe brings to MicroTech extends to his volunteer
work as well. At Boston College High School he sits on the board
of trustees and has led the fundraising efforts to upgrade the
facilities. Joe and his wife Beth live in Hingham, MA, with their
daughter.
