Paul Rojee
Owner, KPB Staffing. Medway Mass
“After
18 successful years as a director at TAC worldwide in Boston, I was
recruited by MicroTech Staffing Group President Joe Donahue to open
my own staffing agency in my hometown. After much deliberation, the
desire to own my own business won out, and I accepted the offer and
the extensive training and resources that went with it, and opened
KPB Staffing in November of 2002.
Five-and-a-half
years later, my decision has paid tremendous dividends. My firm is
one of the most successful staffing agencies in the state, with clients
ranging from the high tech sector to the distribution-service industry.
I have experienced steady growth each year and I expect to continue
that growth as the economy improves and skilled workers in manufacturing,
engineering and professional services are needed to meet client demands.
With guidance
and support from MicroTech, I started this firm from ground zero
and built it into what it is today by developing and nurturing customer
relationships. With an excellent pool of temporary workers and strong
management support, I think the future looks very bright for KPB Staffing.”

Anderson
Principal, Sigma Staffing, Atlanta, Georgia
“I have
always had the desire to open my own business, and after 19 years
at large staffing firms such as Robert Half International and Hudson
Highland Group, I was at the point in my life where I didn’t
want to work for another large firm again.
I am very glad
that I made this career move through MicroTech Staffing Group, as
my business, which offers temporary, project and permanent placement
in accounting and finance, is thriving after just a year-and-a-half.
MicroTech President
Joe Donahue provided the financial, moral and operational support
I needed to make the transition. He was true to his word in everything
he promised and provided the essential support in a non-invasive way
that allowed me to run my shop my way.
At this stage
in my life I could not have opened my own business without MicroTech,
as the risk and the financial obligations were too great. This program
made it possible for me to reach my goals. I only wish that I had
done it 10 years ago.”

Jamie Fennessey
Director, MicroTech Staffing, Woburn, Mass
“I had 13
years of experience in the staffing industry before I took on the
challenge of opening my own shop six years ago. It is without question
the best career move I have ever made.
My staffing firm
specializes in light industrial, manufacturing and engineering. My
clients include some of Massachusetts’ best companies--Teradyne,
Medtronics and Boston Scientific. My skilled temps help to manufacture
many of the medical devices produced in Massachusetts. They also handle
professional staffing, shipping and receiving, and buying and planning
for small and mid-sized firms throughout the state.
I received my
MBA from Boston College, but I have always said that I learned more
about business from MicroTech President Joe Donahue. He has given
me the training and the support I needed to turn my dream of owning
my own business into a reality.
It is a move I
will never regret.”

Michael Kilgore
Owner, JEZ Staffing Group, Atlanta, Georgia
“With 13
years of experience in the staffing industry, including time at IDI
Staffing in Nashville, PDS Technical Services and Johnson Service
Group in Atlanta, I made the decision last fall to open my own shop
under the business opportunity offered through MicroTech Staffing
Group. Today, I am the proud owner of JEZ Staffing Group in Atlanta,
which specializes in engineering, IT placements and accounting.
In today’s
market the majority of staffing firms only care about bottom line
margin and nothing else. My goal is to fill a void in the local staffing
industry by focusing more on the needs of clients and contract employees,
which has become lost in this business. I believe in old school recruiting—you
build a network of talented people with industry experience and you
connect them with great companies in need of temporary help. MicroTech feels the same way, and they have given me the resources, training
and support I needed to open my own business.
By using my expertise
and years of experience, staying focused on superb local service and
understanding client and employee needs, I know I can make a difference
in this industry.
I have three children,
Jace, Elle and Zeke, who inspired the name JEZ Staffing. I owed it
to them to make my lifelong dream of owning my own firm a reality.
Thanks to MicroTech and the investment they made in me, I have been
able to do just that.”
