MICROTECH STAFFING OPENS NEW YORK CITY OFFICE,
15TH OVERALL
Quincy, Mass
(4-3-08)
Microtech Staffing Group
of Quincy has announced the opening of a new temporary help agency
in New York City, called Hire Echelon Staffing, that will specialize
in providing skilled temporary employees in the areas of telecommunications
and IT.
Microtech President Joseph
Donahue, whose rapidly expanding staffing firm now includes 15 offices
employing more than 2,500 temporary staffers daily, cites growing
demand for skilled workers as the motivation for his latest expansion.
“As the economy
slows, companies look to temporary help as the ideal means of meeting
their staffing needs without the financial constraints of long-term
commitments,” said Donahue. “We remain the best possible
alternative in a slow economy.”
Donahue sees particular
demand in New York City for telecommunications IT, and professional
services. “The need is great in these areas and we have the
temporary workers and the right business philosophy to provide the
hands-on service that companies demand.”
Donahue founded Micrtoech
Staffing Group 22 years ago in the basement of his mother’s
home in Waltham and has since grown the firm into the second-largest
privately owned staffing firm in New England and the seventh-largest
overall. With Massachusetts offices currently in Quincy, Woburn, Medway,
Mansfield and Pembroke, and offices in Londonderry, New Hampshire,
Miami, Florida, Reston, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia, its annual
sales exceed $50 million.
“We specialize in tailoring our offices to meet the specific,
local needs of businesses seeking highly skilled and experienced temporary
workers in IT, telecommunications, engineering, manufacturing, light
industry, high-tech, accounting and support services,” says
Donahue. “My expectation is that our model will continue to
be successful in the New York City market.”
