CONSULTING SOLUTIONS GROUP IT STAFFING AGENCY
OPENS IN RESTON
Reston,
Virginia
(2-25-08)
Consulting Solutions Group (CSG), a Northern Virginia-based temporary
staffing agency specializing IT placements, has announced the opening
of its office in Reston. .
Owned and operated
by Cheryl Holmes, a Michigan native who has worked in the field of
temporary staffing since 2000, Consulting Solutions Group will specialize
in providing skilled IT workers for Virginia, Washington D.C. and
Maryland businesses in need of temporary or permanent help.
“We specialize
in placing network and security professionals, data-base administrators
and web and dot net workers in small to mid-size companies so we can
give them the right people they need to grow their business,”
says Holmes. “We care about what our clients want.”
A graduate of
Wayne State University in Detroit, Holmes worked in graphic design
as contractor at General Motors and in sales selling photo reprographic
materials to IT and engineering firms before entering the recruiting
field in California. She worked for McDonald Douglas Technical Services
and for the Aviant Group doing IT and engineering staffing sales,
before relocating to the east coast. She had worked at PDS Technical
Services before opening Consulting Solutions Group in February.
“My diverse
background helps me understand how a company works from beginning
to end,” said Holmes. “The fact that I have been a contractor
helps me understand how people on both sides want things to happen.
The fact is, the clients want the best contractors and the contractors
want to know that they matter. Contractors I have placed in 2000 are
still working. I stay in touch with them and let them know they are
a priority. Both the client and the contractor want to know that.”
Holmes credits
her partner, Moises Lopez, the former director of sourcing and training
for PDS, and CSG’s current vice president for recruitment, for
providing the recruitment capability that distinguishes her firm.
“To have someone like Moises, with 15 years of experience, who
can locate top quality candidates in the industry, is a huge bonus,”
says Holmes. “He finds the hard to locate professionals who
specialize in niche areas, and I find the firms that are in need of
skilled temporary or permanent workers.”
Nationally, the
staffing industry does more than $70 billion in annual sales, employing
an estimated 12 million temporary and contract employees annually.
It remains one of the fastest growing business sectors in America.
